The University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna (Vetmeduni), Austria's only university of its kind, with around 2,600 students. It offers programs in veterinary medicine, biomedicine and biotechnology, and wildlife ecology. As many as 90 percent of Austrian veterinarians studied at this university.
