Teaching languages: Teaching is mainly in German. English taught modules exist in several faculties, for example Electrical Engineering and Computer Science requires English B2 or German B1, and exams can generally be sat in English on request. A German pre course is offered by the Language Centre before each semester.
Accommodation: Managed by Studierendenwerk Kassel, with more than 1000 rooms and apartments in Kassel and Witzenhausen available through an online housing exchange. Apply 3 to 5 months ahead as waiting lists are long, typical cost 600 to 1000 EUR per month.
