These are our suggestions for your future road trips:

Italy – France – Switzerland. This road trip is around 600 kilometers. You can start from Geneva’s Leman Lake. After that you will take the D902 road, climbing steeply to Chamonix in France. You will cross the Mont-Blanc tunnel built under the highest Alps. Italy’s Aosta valley follows and from Turin you will arrive at the Mediteranean Sea in Savona. You will climb on scenic roads to the Apennines and getting off to Florence. You can return through Bologna or Modena, followed by the Alps through Milan. What is special about this circuit? A lot of very high mountains, scenic routes, food and the charm of Italian cities anc countryside. Le Cinque Terre are on your way and you should definitely stop by.

Spain – France (Basque trip). This road trip takes around 400 kilometers. You can start the trip in Bilbao, which is 3 hours far from Madrid by car. You can take B1623 road and cross the mountains to Vitoria-Gasteiz. After that you will visit Pamplona through the scenic mountain roads. Road N-135 will lead you to France through the Pyrenees Mountains. After crossing the mountains the sea will follow. You can head back to Bilbao along the Cantabrian road. This way you will have mountains on your left and the Bay of Biscay on your right. What makes this circuit special? You will pass the imposing plaza and cathedral at Vitoria-Gasteiz and the historic center of Pamplona, which is famous for July’s bull run. You will see the beaches and seafood at San Sebastiàn and you will go through picturesque fishing villages, such as: Getaria, Zumaya, Bermeo.
